Statement of Faith

In the beginning was the Word and the Word was with God and the Word was God John 1:1

The Bible is God-breathed, inerrant and infallible. It contains all we need to know for a right relationship with God and to know His dealings with and plans for man.

God is triune, Father, Son and Holy Spirit. They are three (persons) that make One God.

God created man in His own image, without sin and with the freedom of will. Adam and Eve chose to sin by disobeying God and incurred through their sin the nature of sin which all mankind has inherited. This caused a spiritual separation between humans and a holy God.

God so loved the world He was determined to have a people who He could call His own and out of His amazing grace provided the plan for forgiveness and salvation, the opportunity for reconciliation.

Jesus the Son, being sent by the Father, became the ransom for the sins of the world. He was born of the Virgin Mary, being conceived by the Holy Spirit and lived a perfect, sinless life fulfilling the law of God.

Jesus the Son, took on the nature of man while still possessing His Divine nature as God, making Him both the Son of God and the Son of man.

Jesus was put to death by crucifixion, was placed in a tomb, bodily rose from the dead on the third day, and ascended to heaven after showing Himself alive to many.

It is God's Holy Spirit who convinces mankind both of their sin and their need of a Saviour. All who realise that they are a sinner and have fallen short of God's holy standards, can be forgiven and reconciled to God through faith in Jesus Christ. All need to confess and repent of their sins and disobedience, and believe in the sacrifice that was made for sin on the cross. On conversion to Jesus Christ, the Holy Spirit indwells the believer.

Jesus Christ has instructed believers in Him to be baptized (immersed) in water as a symbol of their new life in Christ and to share regularly in the Lord's Table (Breaking of Bread).

The Holy Spirit desires to empower believers for effective Christian witness and service and to impart His supernatural gifts for the building up of the Body of Christ and for various works of ministry in the community and world.

We believe that marriage is a God given institution between man and woman.

We believe in the literal fulfilment of Biblical prophecy. We affirm the continued place of the Jew and Israel in God's plan.

We believe in the personal, visible and pre-millennial return of the Lord Jesus Christ to earth and the establishment of His earthly Kingdom. We believe in the resurrection of the body, the final judgement, the eternal reward of the overcoming Christians and the endless suffering and torment of the unrepentant.
