Contending for the faith
Jesus and the New Testament writers warned us that at the climax of this age, there would be an increasing apostasy from within the professing church of Jesus Christ. We believe we are living in the last of the last days. In recent years many deceptions have infiltrated the Christian community bringing untold harm and destruction to so many who unfortunately have not exercised discernment but were seduced into believing a lie from the enemy.
We do not support programs such as the Purpose Driven church/life/community and G-12 cells. Neither do we believe that the 'prosperity seed/faith' message, and 'name it and claim it' teachings are biblical.
Jesus said "My Kingdom is not of this world". But many claim dominion over the earth and believe that a world wide revival is coming when all will be saved, whole communities turn to Christ and the enemy silenced. This undoubtedly is popular teaching for the natural man but is without biblical foundation. Jesus asked, "Will the Son of Man find THE faith on the earth when He returns."
On alternative months, usually at 18.00, specific teaching is given on 'Contending for the faith. ' All are welcome to these meetings. We endeavour to be good Bereans (Acts 17:11). The proposed dates for 2009 are January 11th; March 8th; July 12th; September 13th; November 8th.
Knowing that the time is short and recognising that the 'One World Religion' is increasingly becoming a reality which will eventually welcome the Antichrist, helps us to focus on Jesus and His promises. We realise there is an urgency for us to be bold and radical disciples of our Lord and living witnesses to the Holy Spirit's transforming power, so that others may find Jesus Christ as Saviour and Lord. So help us God!
